Press release:
At Sending Orbs we are always happy to find fellow-travellers on our path going the same way. So when Markus Guentner's album hit our headquarters we were unanimously for adding it to our little wall of love.
Guentner is mostly known for his techno work on the Kompakt label, but what he has done for us here is nothing alike. "Doppelgaenger" is like a field-trip into minimal ambientland. Once you've dove into it, there's neither a beginning nor an end, there are just these endless waves of pads, synth figures and drones that sit in your brain and watch you closely while your mind wanders off.
Think Yagya or Gas in terms of hypnotic. Think a musical veteran that masters every aspect of the job in terms of productional value.
No, this is not the new, dense, clubsmashing dubstep monster out there; this here is musical gold that isn't trying to please, but will prove itself in the long run for the ears that are willing to take the time to think out of the box. We think this is an album you'll be coming home to, over and over again.

PRESS RELEASE
"Good things come in two, right?" - It was our philosophy when we
launched Kettel’s (aka Reimer Eising) Myam James album series a year
ago. Today we are sure that our philosophy has become true. We present
the astonishing sequel and final part of the series: Myam James 2!
The first part of the Myam James series was the ultimate score for
one of Kettel's specialties: melodic 303/acid madness, poured over with
melancholia. We consider it as a milestone in Kettel's electronic
affairs. Myam James 1 is a specialization course; one that you may
love, hate or feel indifferent about. Either way, it set an expectation
for the second part.
Myam James 2 is a far cry from the first part. MJ2 is mournful,
intriguing and it unfolds musical sides of Kettel that many of us could
only have dreamed of. Some of you will compare MJ2 with the few movies
that became a bigger success than their prequels. Another analogy with
motion pictures is that a number of tracks from MJ2 could directly be
taken from a cinematographic score.
But it's just one side of MJ2; songs in the vein of previous Kettel
albums My Dogan slash Volleyed Iron plus Whisper Me Whishes make their
appearance - the collab with cellist Sietse-Jan Weijenberg in "Pers
Partys" is a pure bliss. The tracks "Verkens in Londen", "Kingscourt
Imp" and "Boekebaas" evolve from MJ1 and nuance the album's desolate
soul. Myam James 2 echoes Kettel's broad fan base with an even broader
palette of tastes. This album serves them all without making any
sacrifices.
Last but not least, we are grateful to Jeroen Advocaat who did a
cracking job matching the art to the mood of the album. We couldn't
have thought of a better way to celebrate the landmark of Sending Orbs'
tenth release.

Dear followers, we're sorry, but have no choice to announce that both the Yagya and Kettel releases will be delayed by approx. one month.
We are putting a lot of our (ever-so-limited) time and resources into these releases, and feel our listeners don't deserve anything less than the best we can do. As we are not a fullblown and fulltime releasemachine, these things can happen (and do happen, and happened before, and unfortunately will happen again). The only thing we can hope for is that you bear with us, and keep supporting us, so that the word 'delay' will someday dissapear from our menu!
When ready for production, this news section right here will display everything you need to know about these two upcoming releases. (Have we mentioned that they're both really good?)

(just a banner, no original artwork yet...) News from the front. After the critically acclaimed Rhythm of Snow (2002, Force Inc) and Will I Dream During The Process (2006, Sending Orbs) albums, Icelandic producer Yagya (Aðalsteinn Guðmundsson) brings his third full-length album “Rigning”. Brilliant Dub techno & ambient on both CD and vinyl formats (2x12”). We welcome Rutger Prins to our art team. Expected release date of SO 011 is mid/end September.
Just back from his USA tour, Kettel will deliver the highly anticipated sequel of the Myam James series (part 1: SO 009, Kettel – Myam James part 1 – April 2008). We are expecting surprising mood-swings, which will be in contrast with the first MJ part. Of course, you’ll find your daily recommended amount of acid... with Maximal Electronic Music warranty and Jeroen Advocaat art! Myam James 2 (SO 010) expected release date is mid/end October. Please visit the Sending Orbs label webpage for more...
