FLAC files have a lossless compression format. FLAC does not remove information from the audio stream, as lossy compression formats such as MP3, AAC, and Vorbis do.
The FLAC files are supported by software media players, such as Winamp, XMMS, Media Player Classic, Foobar2000, VLC media player en Songbird. You need the K-lite mega codec pack to play the files on Windows Media Player. iTunes DOES NOT support FLAC files! Also note that FLAC playback support in portable audio devices and dedicated audio systems is limited at this time. If you want to be sure, buy and download the high quality MP3 version instead.
Note that FLAC files can only be purchased per complete album/EP.
